| Introducing, 19 year old from Downey, CA, THEAFTRPARTY. After hearing his submission through his shout-out on twitter we had to do a post. His song, Monotone Love, comes together perfectly. Once I heard the beat I was intrigued, then he captured me in with how he covered it. I can't wait to see whats next for the young up and comer as he grows and evolves as an artist. Till then, make sure to check out his SoundCloud and download to the left. |
After the release of his new album Huckleberry, Lachow is back with one of my favorite series. For those who haven't heard pt 2, I highly suggest you click HERE to listen. Essentially what the series evolves around is Sam Lachow goes in for 80 bars, over different beats, that are changed as he masters his flow on each beat. Part 3 continues the series to show just how talented Lachow really is.
He also announced in a Tweet that he will be releasing other parts to the series, and make it into its own 80 Bars Ep. Also once known as, Jae Small, started off as a rapper, then moved to trap music. Finally the artist evolved into Shiftd and took on the House genre and I'm glad he did. This London based artist fell into the friendly vibes and creative structures of the genre. This Feeling and Lovin' U are his latest tracks, and from what I've heard so far, I can't wait till he puts out some more projects. Keep an eye out for this guy in the future. Make sure to Check out his Twitter for Updates. Azizi Gibson is currently based in L.A. He was recently interviewed in RedBull's Sound Select and talks about his daily life. Azizi Gibson brings a different sound to Hip-Hop. It's comfortable, sounds natural, and is raw at the same time. Aziz Gibson's song Rolling Stoned shows how diverse his recordings are. The recording's chorus is catchy while he grabs the listener with his verses. His mixtape Backward Books continues to show that he can tackle any type of beat and make it his own. Download the track on his Soundcloud. If you like Rolling Stoned, check out The Statement by Azizi Gibson as well.
Let me just start off by saying, MILK & SUGAR IS AMAZING. Felly released this mixtape showing his ability to bring variety in his flow. Each song makes you want to listen to more. The 19 year rapper from Connecticut is able to throw down on slow beats to bangers. Stand out tracks from the mixtape are "Probation," "Cella," and "Tell Me" (Which samples Willy Wonka). Download the mixtape below. Make sure to check him out on Twitter and Instagram to follow up with more music from this Rapper/Beat Producer.
